The new Child Care Subsidy (CCS) has come into effect from 2 July 2018. This will replace both the Child Care Benefit and Child Care Rebate. The CCS is more than just a combination of the two payments, it is a fundamental change to the way that eligibility for payments to families is assessed, and how the payment is calculated. The amount of CCS that families will receive will depend on individual family circumstances. Families who currently receive Child Care Benefit or Child Care Rebate and expect to receive the CCS will need to determine their own eligibility for this. Read more..
