Sydney Catholic Early Childhood Services continue to offer high quality care during this time of uncertainty. A message from SCECS Managing Director, Franceyn O’Connor: At SCECS, our community's safety and wellbeing remain our top priority.  We will continue to closely monitor and follow all recommendations and advice from the Australian Government and the Department of Health and Regulatory Authorities and are constantly updating our practices and procedures in response to this unprecedented and constantly evolving situation.   Following recent advice from the Australian Government and the Department of Health, SCECS will continue to operate and support our communities as schools remain open.

SCECS supports asylum seekers with free childcare in new pilot program

SCECS is proud that our Early Childhood Services, such as St John’s in Auburn, is funding a pilot program to provide children of asylum seekers access to free childcare, so parents and carers can access work and education. "Haqqi is one of three children in a pilot program for asylum seekers at St John’s Early Childhood Service in Auburn, Sydney. Without it, his mother would have to fork out about $100 per day."
